U.S. bound T-Mobile HTC HD2 gets a spec boost

A lot of Windows Mobile fans have been patiently awaiting the arrival of the HTC HD2 on T-Mobile here in the United States. If you jumped the gun and purchased an unlocked HD2, you might want to look away. HTC has just posted the specs for the U.S. bound HD2 and we’re happy to announce that the Snapdragon powered monster is getting a memory boost from all angles. The HTC HD2 will ship with a 16GB microSD card (Euro version ships with 2GB card), 576 MB of RAM to increase multi-tasking capabilities (that’s 128 MB more than Euro version), and a whapping 1GB of ROM (double of what current HD2 owners have). We don’t have any indication on why HTC has chosen to bump the memory specs up a notch of two, but the assumption is that they are simply prepping the handset for an upgrade to Windows Mobile 7 when it launches later this year.

  1. Yes please! I am thankful for this update and to myself for being so patient on the release of this device in the US. Thanks for keeping us in the know and the site looks pretty good.

  2. I am so infatuated with this phone. I am EAGER for the Android version to come out, but it’s only going to be on Sprint. I’m hoping that it’ll be ported to the TMo version.
