GSM HTC Touch Diamond gets FFC approval

Customers in the U.S. have been able to get their hand on GSM Touch Diamonds since it was first launched.  Only problem was that GSM support here was lacking since HTC shipped the device with little network compatibility for the U.S. market.  that may all change in the coming weeks or months.  The FCC has just released their reports on an HSPDA GSM variant of the Diamond which seems destined to land on a U.S. cellular carrier.  HTC has finally chosen to release the device with the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz bands for those itching to get faster data on their device.  There’s still no word on what carrier will be picking up the Diamond here in the U.S. but I’m sure there will be some news on that front within the coming weeks.
