We didn’t get an official #powerof10 teaser from HTC this week, but there are two new pictures of the phone and new renders from @evleaks which give us the four official color variants of the HTC 10.
The first two photos below come to us via @tanalibera who posted them to Twitter. He did not mention if someone shared the images with him or if spent some time with the HTC 10. The date and location in the HTC Clock widget indicate that the photo of the HTC 10 was taken on February 23 in Beijing. It also shows the back and multi-tasking capacitive buttons lit up below the display.
The renders shared by @evleaks were shared with the four official color names for the phone. The HTC 10 will presumably be available in carbon gray, glacier silver (white/black face), and topaz gold. The most interesting details in the images shared by Evan is the black on the front speaker grill above the display on the devices with a white front. One the HTC One A9, the front speaker grill was white, allowing it to blend in with the glass. It’s as if HTC wants to draw attention to the speaker. The leaks we saw last week made reference to BoomSound “Internal Speakers” which implies that the earpiece speaker on the front will also be used for audio from music and games.
I wish the gold one would have had a black front instead of white.

I like that they went from taken away so much screen real estate and added chin bezel with HTC Logo and On screen buttons to, if leaks are legit, getting rid of (option) on screen buttons and HTC logo . My Opinion is this is a nice Move on HTCs part.
I wish they would have offered the deep garnet color, too, or another strong color for their 10 lineup.

HTC are famous for their boomsound speakers on the front of their phones. This feature should not be removed and space should be found for them.

I also would have liked to see the front facing speakers be retained. They were really a major stand out feature that others are struggling to adopt. I know people like when manufacturers do a total redesign but when something works there isn’t a need to make too many drastic changes. I would have liked a tweeked One M9+ design.
I am excited about the cameras, I really liked the 4UP camera the M8 had so if they have a higher pixel count with the same tech then should be great.
