A new video posted to HTC’s YouTube channel has basically confirmed that the company will be unveiling a waterproof action camera on October 8th in New York at HTC’s Double Exposure event. While the camera isn’t shown off, the video is a collection of clips taken underwater, first-person and mounted to a bike. One clip even shows the user and a friend posing for a selfie with the camera on the table, implying the comeback of the HTC kickstand. The YouTube video description also contains a link to RECamera.com, but the site hasn’t been activated yet.

It’s exciting to see HTC stepping into me categories, but we’re also expecting a new phone to be unveiled on October 8th. Rumor has it that the HTC Eye will be making it debut alongside the HTC action camera.
