HTC One (E8) US launch teased in official video on Sprint’s YouTube channel

Since the debut of the HTC One (E8) in China, the handset’s availability has been steadily increasing across Asian and a handful of European markets. While we all expected the HTC One (E8) to eventually make its way to the Middle East, South America and even Africa, we were all caught off guard when Sprint uploaded a new video to its YouTube channel this morning with the HTC One (E8) front and center.

The 45 second video clip shows off the design of the phone in a glossy white and matte gray (which reminds us of the gray HTC One X from a few years ago). We’re assuming that someone on the Sprint team uploaded the video and forgot to mark it as private. It’s impossible to know what Sprint’s plans are for the HTC One (E8), but since the phone is more affordable variant of the HTC One (M8), we expect the final on-contract price to be around $100 and the off-contract price could go as low as $500.

Do you think a US launch of the HTC One (E8) will help the company gain additional market share and better compete with Samsung and LG?
