Verizon inventory system confirms HTC Vigor to launch as HTC Rezound

New information about the HTC Vigor has surfaced and it looks like we may finally have a launch name for HTC’s flagship Android phone.  A leaked picture of Verizon’s inventory system shows that the phone is listed as the HTC Rezound (a name which has been tossed around a few times already). Previous rumors indicate that the Vigor/Rezound could launch at early as October 20. We were expecting HTC and Verizon to unveil the phone at CTIA this week, but they might be going with a more subtle approach after the unveiling of the iPhone 4S and the expected debut of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus/Prime next week.

Other details included in today’s leak confirm that the HTC Rezound will feature LTE connectivity for Verizon’s 4G network and will have global CDMA/GSM roaming capabilities.

Even is the next Nexus device is an exclusive on Verizon’s network, the HTC Rezound should not have any issue holding its own.  Verizon has proven that they can manage more than one flagship phone at a time and the Rezound should have the advantage of being first to market if it is released on October 20.
