Dr Dre Hit’s The US Officially, Hello HTC Accessories!

My first thought when we heard about HTC investing in Beats Technology, was that those headphones that come with HTC devices, would be updated to something more high end. I have so many of the stock HTC headphones, never opened sitting in their original packaging, and that’s the way they will stay. The deal with Beats doesn’t just include a third party headphone, it is meant to incorporate the supporting software into whatever hardware HTC choose to include it in. Murmurs have suggested a couple of phones we may see the technology included in like the rumoured HTC Runnymede, and the limited edition HTC Sensation. It’s a bit difficult to predict how the actual deal will play out, what the end user will actually see in the box, but it looks like a pair of Dr Dre Headphones have passed through the FCC, which is usually the first stop for tech on it’s way to worldwide distribution.

Photo’s of a beat up pair of Beats headphones hit the internet today, after passing through FCC certification. The headset is bluetooth wireless enabled, and like wired headsets has call controls built in. While these may not come as standard with all HTC devices, be assured that you are going to see the quality of included headsets for HTC devices get better. This is a true benefit for the audiophile that HTC will introduce in upcoming devices, and does this little bit of news we won’t have to wait as long?
