T-Mobile HTC Ruby to feature 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 4.3-inch qHD display

Move over HTC Sensation – T-Mobile’s HTC Ruby is ready to take the spotlight!  Rumors and pictures of the HTC Ruby have been floating around for a few weeks now, but our friends over at TmoNews have been able to scrounge up a few details about the phone’s internals.  Preliminary specs on the HTC Ruby are said to include a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm snapdragon processor, a 4.3-inch qHD display, Bluetooth 3.0, 8 and 2 megapixel cameras and 1GB of RAM to keep all those apps humming without any issues.

While these specs are not a huge leap forward, the 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM on the HTC Ruby would essentially put the HTC Sensation second in line in T-Mobile’s lineup.  While it’s a little disappointing to see the Sensation be pushed aside, we’re honestly pretty happy to see HTC and T-Mobile prepping an even better handset.  If T-Mobile launches the HTC Ruby at the $199 price point, we may see the Sensation’s price slip down to $179 or $149 – which is certainly a great deal for consumers.  Keep in mind that the HTC Ruby launch could still be a month or two out.

Is the meager spec bump of the HTC Ruby enough to keep you waiting a bit longer?  For us, it certainly is, but we think the white casing of the HTC Ruby has something to do with it too.
