Sprint has finally unveiled the HTC EVO 3D at CTIA in Orlando! If you had you hopes and expectations set high, you can sit back and breathe a sigh of relief. The HTC EVO 3D will be one of thew most advance Android phones of 2011.

The HTC EVO 3D features a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) display that can toggle between 3D stereoscopic and 2D modes, a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, dual 5 megapixel cameras for shooting video and snapping pictures in 3D, dual-led flash, 1.3 megapixel front-facing-camera, 1730mAh battery, full HDMI output capable of screen mirroring and support for Sprint’s CDMA and WiMax network. The HTC EVO 3D measures in at 5” x 2.6” x .47” and weighs 6 ounces.

Sprints’ HTC EVO 3D will run on Android 2.3 and will feature the latest version of HTC Sense. Pricing and availability of the HTC EVO have not been announced yet, but Sprint is hoping for an early summer release.

While there are quite a few dual-core phones expected to hit the market pretty soon, the EVO 3D is the first phone to feature Qualcomm’s dual-core chips. Performance between dual-core processors will vary significantly since Qualcomm and NVIDIA are using their technologies in very different ways. One feature that Qualcomm’s dual-core processors has over the competing NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip is asynchronous clocking on the two cores, which results in significant power saving.
