T-Mobile Shadow to be released October 31 for $149

T-Mobile has finally announced the long rumored T-Mobile Shadow and has given it a release date of October 31.  The Shadow will be T-Mobile second Windows Mobile device they this year after they release the Wing earlier this spring.  The jog dial in the middle of the phone will let users take advantage of the customized T-Mobile interface which gives direct access to an enhanced T-Mobile myFaves for calling, texting, and MMS to your favorite five.

Like the Wing, the Shadow will feature WiFi and a 2 megapixel camera and does have slide-up qwerty keyboard. The Shadow will be the first of a new family of phone T-Mobile is breeding for their customers who should be growing out of their Sidekicks.

You can pick up your T-Mobile Shadow on October 31 in "sage" or "copper" for an incredible price of $149 with a two year contract.

HTC X9500 Shift release date in November

HTC X9500 Shift available for preorder in Europe

The HTC X9500 Shift has started popping up all over the internet on European retailer sites for pre-order.  Several of the sites are claiming release dates ranging from November 20th to the 29th.  For those of you not familiar with the HTC Shift, it is HTC's new UMPC device which features Windows Vista as well as Windows Mobile 6 Professional.  It will be the first device ever to feature both operating systems. 

There is still a  lot of excitement around the hTC Shift even though some recent review of the pre-production model have shown great disappointment with how WM6 runs on the device.

HTC Touch Dual release date in November

In a few weeks, HTC wil be releasing their new HCT Touch Dual.  The Touch Dual is a bit of an upgrade from the HCT Touch which was released almost 5 months ago.  Some of the new features include high speed connectivity through 3.5G and HSDPA, a memory upgrade to 256MB ROM / 128MB RAM, Windows Mobile 6.0 pro software, and new touch-driven photo slideshow giving the ability to view photo slideshows one-handed through the touch interface.  It is also rumored that it will include a new virtual keypad.

At the moment there are still talks about two different slide out key-pads.  Orange in the UK is interested in picking up this phone and is opting for 12 keys, while most other people buying the device will not from a carrier will get their hands on a slide out SureType key-pad.

Are you tired of waiting around for HTC's newest devices?  For those of you who can not wait a few short weeks to get your hand on the T-Mobile Shadow or the HTC Cruise,  CompuLab is offering a barebone pre-configured computer board, with chips, radio, and choice of screen along with either Windows CE or Linux.  All that's left for you to do is create a case for the device and you are set to go.

Prices for the device start at $122 without a screen, but that's pocket change compared to most HTC phones these days.

Is the Verison SMT5800 the HTC Vox?

Verizon Wireless has announced that they will release a new smartphone, the SMT5800, which is reportedly a version of the HTC Vox.  The device will feature are keyboard and number pad.  Other features include access to Verizon's 3G cellular wireless network, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2.0 megapixel, and stereo bluetooth 2.0

Verizone has yet to release any information on when the device will be available, but has assured us that it will hit store shelves in time for the Christmas shopping rush.

HTC Titan to Grace the Verizon Network on November 16th

Verizon customers can soon rejoice as they will most likely be getting their hands on the HTC Titan within a few short weeks.  A tipster named "verizonguy" on the PPCgeeks forum has released information which highlights November 16th as the release date in their stores and may also have a November 2nd on-line  soft release date.  This is great news for Verizon customers who have been waiting a long time for updated hardware from HTC.
