The T-Mobile HTC U11 life just received a new update which includes “system enhancements” and Android’s January security patch. HTC has not highlighted any new features or specific bug fixes in the update changelog, so we’re going to assume that most the 250MB update is dedicated to the security patch.
The Android One variant of the HTC U11 life received the same security patch update a few weeks back, but since that phone is still running on Android 8.0, we doubt HTC will be spending any resources on working on an Android 8.1 update for the T-Mobile HTC U11 life either.
If you happen to own this device and have yet to receive the update notification, so into Setting > About > Software updates > Check Now and you should be prompted to download the latest software version for the phone.
