HTC schedules U11 Plus launch event for November 2

The rumored HTC U11 Plus may finally have a launch date. HTC has scheduled an event at its headquarters in Taiwan for November 2. While the official invitation did feature a large “U” it did not make a direct reference to the upcoming HTC U11 Plus or the U11 Life.

Of the two devices, the HTC U11 Plus is the most exciting since it should be a larger version of the HTC U11 with a 6-inch, 18:9 aspect ratio display. The phone should be able to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, LG V30 and the Pixel 2 XL. The HTC U11 Plus specifications are said to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, a 12MP main camera (likely the same as the U11’s), an 8M front-facing camera, USonic headphones, IP68 dust and water resistance and the option to choose between 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage or 6GB of RAM which will come with 128GB of storage.

Since the HTC U11 is priced at $649, the U11 Plus may cost $750 or $800 for the base model.
