Leaked retail box reveals nearly every HTC U 11 detail

With a little more than two weeks to go before the official unveiling of the HTC U 11, a mock-up of the phone’s packaging has leaked. Specifically, the leak shows the back of the box which highlights nearly all of the HTC U 11’s specifications.

Since we’ve published quite a few rumors about the HTC U 11’s specifications and features, today’s leak doesn’t give us any new information that we haven’t heard before. The specs which are worth mentioning include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, IP57 dust and water resistance, 12MP main camera with its f/1.7 lens and OIS, 16MP f2.0 front-facing camera, 5.5-inch QHD display and microSD card support.

We feel that the phone’s 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM need to be singled out since those two items will most likely be available in select markets. As such, there’s a good chance that they will not be available to those purchasing the phone in the US unless the device is imported from another market. It’s also odd that Quick Charge 3.0 is listed, when the new SD 835 is compatible with Quick Charge 4.0.

  1. The Quickcharge 3.0 is a newer spec than the QC 2.0 on the Galaxy S8(+), so it’s not bad at all 🙂

  2. The actual leaked box is not 128GB it is 64gb. also it is a f/1.8 lens, not f/1.7.

    Should check your source details.

    1. David,

Your pic is for the U Ultra, not the U 11. The box in your pic shows the processor as the 821, so there’s no way it’s for the U 11.
