The Pixel will be heading to Canada on October 20th

Rogers got a bit too excited and hit the publish button on their promotional campaign for the Pixel an hour early. The company has revealed that it will start selling the phone on October 20. Those who pre-order the Google Pixel before then will be given 2GB of free data, a Chromecast (we’re not sure if it’s the new device that will be announced today or the one which made its debut last year) and $50 in Play Store credit.

The actual price of the phone wasn’t released in the promotional material, so we’ll have to wait just a little bit longer for that information. While we were genuinely excited for the launch of the HTC 10 this spring, it looks like the new Pixel phones will have a lot more momentum that HTC’s flagship device has had.

Do you think the Pixel and Pixel XL have what it takes to eclipse the HTC 10?
