The Pixel and Pixel XL unveiling isn’t for another hour or so, but the first commercial for the new phones has already been aired on TV, showing off the phone’s design and its tagline: Life by you. Phone by Google. The video below was filmed by someone with their camera, but we’re sure that Google will have a high-quality video for us to enjoy once the #MadeByGoogle event kicks off later today.
Google has promoted its Nexus phones in the past, but releasing a TV commercial on the same day the Pixel phones are unveiled gives us hope that Google will be putting in a lot of marketing muscle to get the new device into the hands of consumers. This is a good thing for HTC since the company isn’t exactly flush with cash and has a reputation of putting out lackluster promotional campaigns.
