Google launches madeby.google site, confirms Pixel phones are coming October 4

It’s official: Google’s Pixel phones will be unveiled on October 4. Google has launched its madeby.google.com landing page. When you first access the site, it looks like there’s a large search box on the page, but after half a second, the search box morphs into the outline of a phone. The page then lists October 4th, the Google “G” logo and an email signup form for those who want to be notified when more information is available.

If you haven’t checked your calendar, October 4 is exactly two weeks away from today. We’re definitely excited for today’s HTC Desire 10 unveiling, but there’s little doubt that the HTC-built Pixel phones will have a bigger impact on the Android community and HTC’s bottom line.

While we know a lot about the Pixel and Pixel XL, there are a few details which are still murky. There’s been a bit of confusion on pricing, the screen size of the Pixel and the processor used inside both of the phones. We’ve sure to get a few more leaks between now and October 4, but we’re honestly hoping that some of the details stay secret until the official announcement of the Pixel phones.
