Sprint’s HTC One E8 finally gets updated to Android Marshmallow

Sprint’s HTC One E8 finally gets updated to Android Marshmallow

It’s been a while since we’ve written an Android Marshmallow update article. If you happen to be among the few who are still using the HTC One E8 fromSprint, we’re happy to report that the phone’s Android Marshmallow update is finally available!

The Android 6.0.1 software update is currently making its way to Sprint customers in the US, but it may take some time to get your update as Sprint’s plan is to stagger the update so that it reaches all its Oner E8 phones by August 29. Those who don’t want to wait that long can try to jump the line by pinging the update servers manually by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update > Check now.

With the Android Marshmallow update installed, the HTC One E8 will experience improved battery life thanks to the new Doze feature. It’ll also be able to use Google Now on Tap. And of course, there will be a few minor visual improvements to the notification shade and quick settings.
