HTC Sense 8 will take Android skinning to a whole new level

One of the reasons why many people love Android is because it allows then to customize the look and feel of the phone and truly make it their own. That was one of the reasons HTC originally introduces HTC Sense with the launch of the HTC Hero. It allowed YOU to have the phone that YOU wanted (anyone remember HTC’s YOU marketing campaign).

While HTC’s been trimming down on its own customizations as of late, it looks like HTC Sense 8 will have a new feature named Freestyle Layouts which gives you full control over the homescreen, allowing you to choose custom icons for each app and even placing them where you want without regard for the standard 4×4 grid layout. The images below were shared by @LlabTooFeR, giving us a quick look at what you can do within HTC Sense 8’s Freestyle Layouts. We wonder how many more secrets the HTC 10 still has under wraps.

Just for fun, here’s HTC’s YOU commercial from the HTC Hero

  1. The HTC “You” and “Set Your Fingers Free” TV commercials are HTC’s two greatest TV commercials. Much better than the ones with Robert Downey Jr and Gary Oldman.

  2. “We winder how many more secrets the HTC 10 still has under wraps.”
