HTC launches Boost+ to improve Android smartphone performance and security

sdr

HTC has launched Boost+ on Google Play, giving its users the ability to add an additional layer of security to their phone while improving overall performance. While many HTC apps can only be used on HTC devices, Boost+ is available for all Android phones running Android Jellybean or higher. HTC’s main selling point for Boost+ is its smart performance boost feature which cleans up memory on the phone by identifying which apps are using the most RAM. It even has a general “junk” cleanup feature which identifies unnecessary cache, ad, temp and app files which can be deleted. Te difference between Boost+ and the dozen or so other apps available on Google Play which essentially do the same thing is that HTC’s app gives you a detailed looks at the offending files or apps. This then gives you the option to choose which items to remove.

Boost+ also goes through all your apps to identify which ones you have not used in a while, suggesting which ones should be uninstalled to free up storage and prove handset performance. If that wasn’t enough, Boost+ even allows you to lock down access to individual apps. When you tap the icons to open those specific apps, you’ll need to enter an unlock pattern of use your fingerprint (if your phone has a fingerprint sensor).

So far, HTC Boost+ has a 4.7 star rating on Google Play and those who have reviewed it seems to be pretty satisfied with what the app has to offer. Give Boost+ a try and let us know in the comments what you think.
