HTC announces Vive X VR Accelerator Program for developers

HTC’s front lady, Cher Wang announced a new initiative for HTC that puts up $100 million in funding for startups and young companies looking to grab a stakehold in the VR community. HTC’s new program is called the Vive X VR Accelerator Progam and is poised to grow the VR ecosystem by giving developers and studios the tools, resources, and even mentors to boost their virtual reality developing.

Get direct access to the best and most knowledgeable thought leaders in VR.

The program sounds very bold and that $100 million won’t last for long so if you’re a developer you should probably stop reading this and head over to the HTV Vive’s website to fill out your application. On the application, they are going to need to know what your financial situation looks like, if you have any monetary backers, if you have any VR experience, a demo of your project, and a few other things.

HTC Vive X Locations

HTC will begin opening its three physical locations in support of this venture in Beijing, Taipei, and San Francisco. Doors are expected to open in as early as May of this year and will be a place of refuge for the many who are trying to get a foot in the door of the VR space.

If you’re a developer looking to get the backing from some of the experts in the VR world; both financially and mentally, then this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. Head over to HTC’s page to view the application and submit one for yourself.
