HTC 10 Lifestyle quietly unveiled with Snapdragon 652, 3GB of RAM

Yesterday’s launch of the HTC 10 had us so caught up that we missed that fact that HTC also introduced a variant of the HTC 10 which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC and 3GB of RAM. Labeled as the HTC 10 Lifestyle, the phone is now listed on HTC India’s site.

While we’ve seen variants of HTC’s flagship devices in the past, the HTC 10 Lifestyle is the first to replicate the flagship phone in every aspect – save for the processor and RAM. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC isn’t on the same level at the 820, but it’s significantly more powerful than the Snapdragon 808 used in the LG G4 and just shy of the Snapdragon 810 which was used in the HTC M9 last year. Every other component inside the HTC 10 Lifestyle is identical to what you’ll find in the HTC 10.

Technically, the HTC 10 Lifestyle would be a better buy for someone who’s not really interested is having the best processor on the market. The Snapdragon 652 will be able to tear through even the most taxing Android games and 3GB of RAM is more than enough to keep up with most people’s multi-tasking needs. The phone may actually have better battery life than the standard HTC 10 since the 652’s clock speed is lower.

HTC hasn’t announced which markets (besides India) will be getting the HTC 10 Lifestyle, but we have also spotted the phone on HTC Singapore and HTC China’s sites. Pricing is naturally up in the air, but the HTC 10 Lifestyle should be a bit cheaper than the standard 820-powered HTC 10.
