HTC One X9 is now official

The HTC One X9 has arrived! We still haven’t seen an official press release from HTC, but the phone’s product page is available on HTC China’s website along with a few images on it’s Weibo page as well.

The brushed aluminum unibody shell of the HTC One X9 looks similar what we’ve seen from HTC in the past with the exception of a plastic insert at the top which houses the camera module. On the front, HTC has redesigned the BoomSound speakers grills which sit above and below the display, tying in design elements from the HTC Butterfly and Nexus 9. While HTC has been using on-screen buttons on its phones for the past few years, the One X9 brings back capacitive buttons below the display.

The HTC One X9 features a 5.5-inch 1080p display powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot which supports up to 2TB. The main camera features a 13 megapixel BSI sensor with optical image stabilization and 4K video capture while the front-facing camera has a 5 megapixel resolution with a f/2.0 aperture lens, 3000 mAh battery and front-facing stereo BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio. The HTC One X9 measures 153.9 x 75.9 x 7.99 and weighs in at 173 grams.

There’s no word on when the HTC One X9 will go on sale of what the final retail price will be, but those details will likely be revealed in the coming weeks.

Are there any design features on the HTC One X9 which you hope will be carried over to HTC’s 2016 flagship smartphone?

  1. Finally they listen to their costumers, no more huge up and down bezel, no on-screen buttons, boom sound a little smaller and that htc logo on the bottons just wasting space.
i hope they do this, and even better for the next m10

  2. Yep whole design could carry over to M10. HTC could bring back duo cam and they got a winner IMHO
    Cheers

  3. Yes this is why bought Butterfly 3 duo camera and all what you want or not. Can say either s810 or amazing 2K screen eats battery. Lol Screen is amazing though.

  4. Does anyone have any further information on when the X9 will be available in the UK, prices colours etc? Thanks.

    1. As of now, the One X9 is only heading to China. There is no indication that it will be making its way to Europe, at least not any time soon.
