HTC targets iPhone defectors with HTC One A9 commercial

HTC targets iPhone defectors with HTC One A9 commercial

The fact that the HTC One A9 looks like an iPhone isn’t an accident. Apple copied quite a bit of the HTC One’s design language with the Apple iPhone 6. HTC is simply giving Apple a taste of its own medicine with the refined looks of the HTC One A9.

To that point, HTC’s new commercial for the One A9 is betting on the fact that there a more than a few iPhone customers who love the looks of their phone, but would rather enjoy the freedom offered by Android. The minute and a half commercial shows off the One A9’s all-metal design while highlighting BoomSound audio experience, OIS and RAW image capture and its Android 6.0 software build. The clip is also jam packed with imagery of mindless clones, faceless manikins and sterile while apples.

We’re not sure if the HTC One A9 commercial will be effective, but it’s nice to see HTC putting a bit of cash behind one of its phone to promote it.

That commercial is better than previous ones for the M series. It’s great to see HTC going a different direction with the marketing on this one.

This direction is off a cliff and bursting into flames. This is a bad decision on so many levels.

HTC makes good phones but they suck at avertising.
