HTC One X9 shows up on TENAA with new images and specs

The HTC One X9 simply won’t go away. After multiple rumors and image leaks, we now have new details about the phone from TENAA (China’s version of the FCC). TENAA has posted a page fora device named the HTC X9u with high-resolution images of the phone’s front, back and sides and detailed specifications.

The design of the HTC X9u matches up with the previous images of the HTC One X9 which we shared with you earlier this week. Overall, HTC One X9 appears to be a hybrid of the new HTC One A9 and the HTC Legend – HTC’s first unibody metal phone. The front of the phone features 2.5D glass which is featured on the One A9, but the cutouts for BoomSound speakers, placement of the HTC logo capacitive buttons below the display match up with the design language of the Legend. The same is repeated across the back of the HTC One X9 with the curves of the phone lending homage to the One A9 while the plastic cutout around the camera brings back the same design feature from the HTC Legend.

As for specs, the TENAA page lists the HTC X9u with a 2.2GHz octa-core processor, 5.5-inch 1920×1080 display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 13-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera all neatly wrapped in a 153.2 x 75.9 x 7.99mm and weighs 174 grams body that weights 174 grams.

There’s still no news regarding when the HTC One X9 will be released or which markets it will be heading to. Since the phone is listed on TENAA, there’s a very good chance that it will be available in China and other Asian markets and possibly be an exclusive for the region.

  1. I’m really glad that they going back to captive buttons but I find the screen way too big. The design is ok i guess it looks even better with silver back.
