HTC One A9 to get security patch with battery and camera updates

Tonight on Twitter, HTC’s own Mo Versi excitedly announces the HTC One A9’s first update. The HTC One A9 has been on the market in the US since early this month and this unlocked version is starting to sound better and better after tonight’s news.

Unlocked phones are easier for the manufacturer to update, because those stinky mobile carriers can’t get in the way to provision the software update before it goes out to the masses. HTC even promises that the HTC One A9 will get the latest Google updates 15 days after they have posted to Nexus devices.

With the new HTC One A9 update comes security patches relevant to Android Marshmallow and a couple extras. HTC’s developers are still working hard to fine tune the HTC One A9 so they’ve included software improvements with the OTA. Those with the unlocked HTC One A9 should look for and notice enhancements to the camera and bettery battery life.

The HTC One A9 is HTC’s latest attack on the competition. They’ve targeted the iPhone and are bringing to customers what Apple can’t provide; stylish design with a mobile OS as flexible as the user can handle.

We currently have hands on with this remarkable phone and are first impressions might not be what you were expecting so see for yourself.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
