Paranormal Activity VR game HTC Vive demo at select movie theaters this weekend

Paranormal Activity VR game HTC Vive demo at select movie theaters this weekend

Looking for a good scare this weekend? The new movie Paranormal Activity:The Ghost Dimension will most likely scare the heck out of you, but you know what would creep you out even more. If you go to one of the 15 AMC movie theaters listed below you could get a demo of the upcoming Paranormal Activity virtual reality game through the HTC Vive headset.

The creators of the Paranormal movies have partnered with VRWERX, HTC Vive, Valve, & nVIDIA to bring the demo to the select theaters. The Paranormal Activity demo and game will take the experience further than any 3D movie experience could. Imagine walking through a haunted house, but the characters/actors get so close to you that you think something actually grabbed you.

Paranormal Activity VR Game 2Well, maybe you won’t feel something touch you, but if you had a jokester friend that tapped you while you were consumed in a virtual experience that would really mess with your senses.

  • AMC Bay Street 16, Emeryville, CA
  • AMC Orange 30, Orange, CA

My friend Matt Coddington is at the Big Android BBQ in Texas and had his first taste of the HTC Vive experience (not with the PAVR demo). This is what he had to say about it…

The Vive experience was incredible! Truly fully immersed into the environment! I saw the future and it’s mind-blowing!

HTC Vive is so immersive I couldn’t imaging what it would be like to be surrounded life-like ghosts coming at you. The game is said to not be available until next Spring so we’d love to hear from anyone who tries the demo this weekend.
