HTC begins updating Android apps for Marshmallow

Beginning the day after the announcement of the HTC One A9, HTC started publishing updates to its apps in the Google Play store. The HTC Speak app was the first app updated on 21 OCT and the HTC Scribble app was updated on 28 OCT.

HTC Speak is that special app that allows you to say, “Capture” when you’re taking a picture without tapping the shutter button. You also use Speak when dragging your finger down to make a call from your HTC Dot View case.

Descriptions for each app in the “What’s New” section in Google Play is explained very straight forward by saying, “Now compatible with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.”

With several templates, fun photo, and text features, HTC Scribble is a good tool for creating notes, scrapbook pages, greeting cards, and birthday notes.

We expect to see additional updates rolling out to apps like HTC Clock, Calendar, Lock Screen, Weather, and more as HTC fine tunes their phones with the Android 6.0 operating system. I’ll do my best to keep you updated on which apps get updates and when.
