HTC adds Push notification app to the Play store

Recently, my HTC One M8 notified me in the Google Play app about a new app to install called HTC Service – HTC PNS. Once again, HTC has broken down a service and added it to the Play store in an effort to bring us phone enhancements at the drop of a dime.

According to the description, this push notification client gives HTC the ability to improve the HTC code responsible for alerting us when there’s something new from an already installed HTC app or service like HTC Zoe or HTC Theme.

HTC’s list of apps available in the market has grown quite a bit after adding at least 13 apps this year alone. In total HTC has approximately 41 apps for download under three different developer ID’s:
