HTC Camera app gets another update through Google Play

HTC’s software team has just posted the latest version of the HTC Camera app on Google Play. While the details of the update indicate that the latest Camera app update includes a handful of bug fixed and performance improvements, a few of our readers claim that images captured in low-light show less grain. We’ve installed the update on the HTC One M8 and HTC One M9, but have not noticed any significant improvement in camera quality.

The HTC One M9 in Europe recently received a firmware update which delivered quite a few improvements to the camera – boosting white balance and low light performance. HTC hasn’t announced when the update will be making its way to North America, but we’re hoping it’ll be here soon.

Be sure to head on over to the Play Store to download the latest version of the HTC Camera app and let us know if you notice any significant improvements to performance or image quality.

  1. got it on my M8 in Portugal, I can honestly say that i don’t see anything different

  2. Is the screen on the M9 washed out? If so, is there some settings fix for that or is it inherent?

  3. it seems as if the video is now better stabilized so i guess you can say the digital stabilization is improved!
