HTC Aero heading to Sprint as a “One” handset is early November

New details of the upcoming HTC Aero were leaked this weekend, revealing that the phone will go on sale in early November at Sprint. While we were expecting the HTC Aero to be the high-end smartphone promised by Cher Wang for the fall, @evleaks has classified the Aero as an “intermediate device” which will carry HTC’s One branding As of now, we do not have any details regarding the HTC Aero’s SoC, camera sensor and display size or resolution, making it hard to determine where the phone will sit when compared to the HTC One M9 and competing devices.

Last year, the HTC Desire Eye was released as HTC’s fall “flagship” smartphone – featuring a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13 megapixel rear and front-facing camera – both with dual-LED flashes. While the HTC Desire Eye featured most of the same components as the HTC One M8, it was classified as a mid-range handset due to is Desire branding, polycarbonate build and off-the-shelf camera sensors. While the “intermediate” Aero will be a “One” phone, it may still feature polycarbonate build, but the handset’s internal components may be on par of better than those of the HTC One M9. We’re envisioning the HTC One E9+ with a Snapdragon 805 or something very similar.

What do you think the HTC Aero will offer once it’s revealed?
