Looks like HTC’s software team isn’t getting much sleep these days. After reporting that the Verizon HTC One M7 will be getting its Android Lollipop update tomorrow, we’re now hearing that HTC has flipped the switch and is now rolling out the same update for the HTC Desire 816 and HTC One E8 in India.
The system update for the HTC One E8 is listed at 863.75 MP and includes Android 5.0, Lockscreen and Notification UI improvements, enhanced privacy features, update to Recent apps and a new search function within Settings. The update file for the Desire 816 is one meg lighter, but includes as the same features.
If you have not year received the update notification on your HTC One E8 or HTC Desire 816, go to Settings > About > Software update > and tap the Check Now button to trigger the update manually.
