Lollipop update now available for the unlocked HTC One (M7) across Europe

HTC is continuing its rollout of Android 5.0 today by releasing the Lollipop update for the unlocked HTC One (M7) in Europe. With this update, the original HTC One owners will get notifications on the lock screen, Google’s new multi-tasking cards UI, an updated notification panel with quick settings toggles and a dozen other small tweaks throughout HTC Sense which make the phone more enjoyable to use.

If you have not receive an update notification on your device yet, you can try triggering it manually by going to Settings > About > Software updates and tapping the Check Now button at the bottom of the screen. HTC is rolling out the update in waves, so be sure to check every few hours if the update isn’t yet available for your device.   1. Ok, also got it, and here’s a little summary what has changed:
    Positively (IMO):
    – works even more fluid
    – unlocks and scrolls faster
    – more apps on multitasking list
    – one more slot in quick settings, if you used shortcut to normal settings, because now it’s above them
    – new notifications menu (just… nice for me)

    Negatively:
    – where is my functional lock screen? It’s gone! No shortcuts to BlinkFeed and home screen, no widgets
    – some actions are a little bit slower (not even a second, but I can see the difference)
    – calendar doesn’t synchronize with Facebook

  2. What about the latin america market? Will they get the update as well for unlocked devices?
