Lollipop update now available for the Developer Edition and Sprint HTC One (M7)

Owners of the HTC One (M7) Developer Edition and Sprint HTC One (M7) can now download the Android 5.0.1 update for their devices. The Lollipop flavored Android update delivers UI changes to the notification panel, lock screen and Google’s new multi-tasking card view, but there are also dozens of other small tweaks and improvements scattered through the OS.

The update for the HTC One (M7) Developer Edition weighs in at 702 MB, so we recommend connecting to your Wi-Fi network if you’re on a tiered data plan. If you have not receive an update notification on your device yet, you can try triggering it manually by going to Settings > About > Software updates and tapping the Check Now button at the bottom of the screen.   1. Don’t remember these two features before, but on M7/Lollipop you can
    1) Remove blinkfeed
    2) Hide undesired apps (sprint and htc bloatware)

  2. I tried manually but it says “no update for this device”. Is it because my phone is of other than Developer Edition/Sprint? if so, how to find out what edition is mine?
