Leaked images gives us a first look at the HTC One M9/Hima

With less than six weeks to go before HTC’s Mobile World Congress launch event, we finally have a pair of leaked images which claim to show off the upcoming HTC One M9 (aka the HTC Hima). At first glance, the images appear to depict the silver HTC One (M8) from 2014. The depicted device features the same front-facing speakers, camera and sensor placement at last year’s flagship One (M8). But the differences between the two devices come into focus with the image of the back of the phone. The powder coat finish of last year’s silver One (M8) is replaced with a brushed finish and the camera lens has changed from a circle to a squircle (yes, that’s a real word). The image showing the back of the phone is cut off, so it’s unclear if the rumored 20 megapixel camera will be accompanied by a depth sensor like the One (M8)’s DuoCamera setup.

The HTC One (M9) may not look much different than last year’s model, but the rumored spec sheet will certainly make it stand out. The device should feature a 5-inch (1920×1080 px) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM, 20.7 megapixel main camera and an UltraPixel camera on the front.

Do you think the leaked images accurately depict HTC’s upcoming flagship smartphone?

  1. Yeah it probably does. It’s probably gonna look exactly like that. Unfortunately that’s the times we live in. No one wants to make new and interesting phones. They just want to sit back and make micro changes. Sucks. I was hoping for something fresh.

  2. Hugely disappointed.I was expecting something new..there’s no way people will buy this phone.another failure for htc
