HTC teaser hints at new HTC Desire unveiling at CES

With CES less than a week away, HTC China has posted a teaser image on its Weibo page which seems to confirm that HTC will be announcing a new HTC Desire phone at CES. According to @upleaks, the HTC Desire set to be unveiled is known as the HTC A52. Based on the specs, the HTC A52 will be an EYE class device – featuring a 13 megapixel front-facing camera, UltraPixel camera on the back (4 megapixels), 16 or 32GB of storage and an assortment of color options which include Navy Blue/Vivid Blue, Taupe Purple/Tangerine Tango, Terra White/Almond, and Terra White/Tangerine Tango. For now, there’s no information regarding the HTC A52’s display or processor, but since it will sport HTC’s UltraPixel camera on the back, we have a feeling the phone will have at least a 5-inch 1080p display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (the same chip used on the HTC Desire 820).

Initial launch markets appear to include Singapore, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, so don’t expect the phone to launch in the US and Europe any time soon. As usual, we’ll be attending CES next week, so we’ll be sure to get some hands-on time with whatever HTC announces.
