Get your credit card ready! In 15 minutes, HTC is discounting the HTC One (M8) to $299 for the first 200 customers who can manage to add the phone to their shopping cart and complete their order before the site crashes. Customers 201 through 500 won’t be as lucky, but they’ll still be able to purchase the One (M8) for $499 – roughly $100 less than what you’d pay to buy the phone without a contract. The promotion kicks off at noon EST and runs until midnight or until all the units have sold (whichever comes first).
The offer is valid for the unlock or carrier branded (T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T and Verizon) versions of the HTC (M8), but we’re not yet sure what color options will be made available. Let’s hope HTC’s tech team can manage to keep the site up and running for more than a few minutes this time around.
