HTC One (M8) Android 5.0 UI shown off in leaked images

Waiting for a software update can be excruciating. Since the HTC One (M8) android Lollipop isn’t going to be here for a while, we thought we’d share a few leaked images from the new software build. HTC’s software team isn’t doing anything extraordinary with Android 5.0. The core elements of HTC Sense 6.0 appear to be intact, but the new update will be accompanied with changes to the notification shade, quick settings, multi-tasking and lockscreen notifications.

Since we only have four screen shots of the new UI, it’s impossible to know if there are other UI changes in the works. We’re going to assume HTC will be integrating most of the new Android 5.0 features into the OS with this update, but don’t expect any major UI changes to Sense until HTC’s next flagship is unveiled in early 2015.

  1. It is worrying that I can’t see a button to close all the running apps. At the moment I have such a button. Downgrade?

    1. Android’s memory management has improved heaps over the years, you shouldn’t need to close all running apps ever.
