HTC spills the beans on HTC One (M8), One (M7) Lollipop update plans

HTC One (M8) and last year’s One (M7) owners are in for a treat – Lollipop treat to be exact. After Google officially unveiled Android 5.5 (Lillipop) this morning, we pinged HTC to see when the HTC One (M8) would be updated with the latest software build. Naturally, HTC didn’t give us a date to circle on our calendar, but they did promise the update would be pushed out to the HTC One (M8) within 90 days of Google’s official release of the Lollipop code.

From what we’ve heard, Google is stil putting the finishing touches on Android 5.0, but the code should be finalized by November 3rd – the date given for the Nexus 9 retail debut. What new Android Lollipop features are you looking forward to using on your HTC One?

  1. Even 30 days looks little far to me, it is good to have the update rolling fat to our phones

  2. I’m looking forward to some of the rumoured pop up windows in Android Lollipop. As the only thing I feel Sense is missing is some true multitasking functions.

  3. I love that I they include the M7 here. Can’t wait to see how it’ll perform with Lollipop.

  4. I have the M7 and are having issue’s with the Mic during calls . If I have the phone at the corner of my mouth then the other party can hear me fine. However if I move the Mic just an inch away the other party can’t her me at all. Speaker phone works great headset works fine as well. I did the diagnostic test and there seems no issue with the Mic picking me up. It’s only in during a call. Very frustrating.. anyone else had this issue?

    1. Try cleaning/clearing the grid where the lower speaker/microphone is with a toothbrush or similar but be careful as to not damage the speakers if you insert it too far, worked for me
