Happy Halloween from the folks at HTC! For those of you using the HTC Dot View case you will get quite the trick when you double tap the case to check the time, because the wallpaper has changed from your own selection to a custom wallpaper theme to match the holiday. In this case we’re talking about a Jack-O’-Lantern.
When the latest update of the HTC Dot View app hit the Play store we wondered what they meant by Easter eggs and as the closest holiday has come upon us some of the mystery has been revealed. Thanks to tipster, Sannan Hafeez in New Zealand where it is almost 5pm and mentioned to us on twitter about the pumpkin surprise.

Not only is there a Jack-O’-Lantern, but when you get notifications the wallpaper changes to a playful skeleton with motion and bats flying around. So basically we’re not only introduced to festive wallpapers for Dot View, but animated or live wallpapers as well. Thanks to our tipster and then some of our own curiosity we explored this a little further by manually changing the date to December 25th to unveil a Christmas tree wallpaper with moving snow flakes.
