Google unveils the Nexus 9 tablet from HTC

HTC’s back in the tablet game – in a BIG way. Google pulled back the curtain this morning, unveiling the HTC-built Nexus 9 which will be the first device to hit the market running Android Lollipop. The tablet comes is white, black and beige with a thin bezel surrounding the 8.9-inch display, brushed metal sides and a soft-touch polycarbonate finish on the back. Google claims that the size of the tablet is a perfect balance for work and play. The HTC BoomSound speakers add an immersive audio experience that has not been present of previous Nexus tablets and the magnetically attached folio keyboard case is the perfect accessory for getting work done while on the go.

Google’s Nexus 9 product page doesn’t reveal all the specs that are packed into HTC’s tablet. Officially, the Nexus 9 sports a 8.9″ IPS LCD display, 6700 mAh battery, 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front camera, 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, Kepler DX1 GPU and buyers will have the option to choose between 16 GB or 32 GB storage options.

The Nexus 9 can be pre-ordered for $399 starting October 17 and will make its appearance in stores on November 3.

  1. It looks really good and I’m liking how the case attaches too! Pity there wasn’t an event to showcase the software and the BoomSound speakers.

    1. Its a new way of showing goods. Nexus 6 is beast phone and Nexus 9. The best on market devices.

Only if you girly female or over 79 go for Apple products.
