Virgin Mobile HTC Desire 816 spotted in leaked press shot

While HTC has announced that the HTC Desire 610 will be making its way to AT&T by the end of this month, it looks like Virgin Mobile will be picking up HTC’s mid-range flagship smartphone – the HTC Desire 816. A leaked image from @evleaks shows the HTC Desire 816 and a handful of other Android smartphones from LG and ZTE which will all be making their way to Virgin Mobile in the near future. The price of the Virgin Mobile HTC Desire 816 is unknown, but we expect it to demand $30-50 more than the HTC Desire which Virgin Mobile is currently selling for $249.99.

The HTC Desire 816 features a 5.5-inch 720p display, 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD expansion (up to 128GB), 2,600mAh battery, 13 megapixel f/2.2 main camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera and HTC’s trademarked front-facing BoomSound speakers with dedicated amplifiers. It’s not on the same level as the HTC one (M8) of other flagships like the Samsung galaxy S5 or the LG G3, but it certainly is one of the best phones you can get for under $400.
