Official: HTC One Remix announced for Verizon

The HTC One mini 2 is finally coming the US market, but the phone will be taking on a new name. Verizon will be calling the phone the HTC One Remix when the phone goes on sale on July 24th. The Verizon HTC One Remix will sell for $99.99 with a new two-ear contract, making it a cheaper alternative to the HTC One (M8) on Verizon.

The HTC One Remix will run on Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6 and features a 4.5-inch 720p display, 13 megapixel main camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 16 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot (support up to 128GB of storage), 2,100 mAh battery, front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers all wrapped up in a unibody aluminum shell.

We hope to get some hand-on time with the Verizon HTC One Remix in the next week or two. We’re not expecting it to be much different than the HTC One mini 2, but we all know Verizon does have a knack for adding their own software and hardware customizations to the devices they sell.
