Rumor: HTC M8 Prime will be tweaked and launched as the HTC M9 Prime in Q1 of 2015

The HTC M8 Prime and its amazing spec sheet isn’t slated to launch this year, but that doesn’t mean HTC has completely killed off the phone. According to the latest @evleaks rumor, HTC has decided to push back the launch of the HTC M8 Prime until the first quarter of 2015. The Prime’s specs will be tweaked a little and the device will be branded in the M9 family and even launch before the direct replacement for the HTC One M8.

We typically are a bit skeptical when it comes to handset rumors for phones that are 9 months down the road, but @evleaks has the best track record in the industry. It would have been nice if the HTC M8 Prime’s fall 2014 release date would have come to fruition, but we’re still pretty happy with the performance and design of the HTC One M8.
