Is your HTC device compatible with Android Wear?

Are you considering buying one of the latest Android smartwatches coming to the market? This week at Google I/O a new breed of smartwatches came to life using new code released by Google a few months back called Android Wear. Two devices were officially launched this week one made by LG and the other by Samsung.

We found that the HTC One M8 is a ready and willing candidate to pair with Android Wear. Actually, the Wear website says that any device running Android 4.3 (Jellybean) or higher will work with Android Wear and this is not limited to smartphones as tablets and other devices running current versions of Android should work as well. If you want to make sure the device in your hands is capable of mingling with Android Wear check out the Android Wear website from your device and you will get a confirmation page. We’re not sure what it will look like if you don’t have a qualifying device, but like we mentioned everything checked out for the HTC One M8. Those with the HTC One M7, HTC Butterfly, HTC One max, HTC One mini, HTC Desire 601 should be a fit as well.

Believe it or not these smartwatches are compatible with other OEM devices very much the opposite of the smartwatches Samsung has offered in the past. HTC has yet to unveil a smartwatch of its own, but rumors have suggested that one is in progress and expected in the last quarter of the year. We hope that it will sport Android Wear therefore making it compatible to other OEM smart devices and making it possible for HTC to branch out and gain more attention from users def to the name of HTC.
