HTC W8 set to be a ‘flagship’ Windows Phone 8.1 handset for Verizon

Windows Phone 8.1 Beta can easily be installed on the HTC 8X, but if you’re craving some new hardware to go with the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS, we suggest you keep an eye out for the HTC W8. According to @evleaks, the HTC W8 will be a flagship Windows Phone 8.1 device for Verizon. We don’t have any specs to go along with name, but we’re going to assume the HTC W8 will sport a a multi-core Snapdragon processor, HD display and more than decent main camera.

It would be nice to see the HTC W8 dressed in a unibody aluminum chassis, but we’d be more than happy if HTC brought back the design of the HTC 8X with BoomSound and a few tweaks to round out its edges a bit.

Are you excited for a new flagship device form HTC running on Windows Phone 8.1?
