Sense 6 for the US HTC One (M7) Developer Edition and HTC One (M7) Unlocked has arrived. The software update is quite hefty, so we suggest you have a full charge and are connected to the web over Wi-Fi before you start downloading the 667MB file. HTC Sense 6 delivers the new UI that was introduced on the One (M8) and many of the same software features that accompanied HTC’s new flagship phone.
Unfortunately, there are a few things which did not make the cut due to hardware limitations. Motion Gestures are not included in the Sense 6 build for the One (M7) and the advanced DuoCamera effects like UFocus, Foregrounder, Seasons and Dimensions Plus are not there either since last year’s One only has a single camera on the back.
Head over to HTC’s software update site for a full list of new features that are included in the Sense 6 update for the HTC One (M7). You can go to Settings > About Phone > Software update > Check now to download the Sense 6 update manually if you have not yet received an update notification on your device.
