HTC M8 Prime detailed with leaked 360-degree image

The rumored HTC M8 Prime got quite a bit of attention yesterday with a leaked 360-degree image of the phone and the news that it would be the first device to run HTC Sense 6.5.

The 360-degree image of the HTC M8 prime shows the phone off from nearly every angle. The design of the HTC M8 Prime is a mix between last year’s HTC One max and the newer HTC One (M8). The phone features a unibody design with dark gray metal shell with while polycarbonate inserts which cut through the back panel at the top and bottom and them wrap around the edges of the phone. Like the HTC One (M8), the M8 Prime has a Duo Camera setup, but the main camera lens is raised and features a protective orange ring. Based on the color distortion of the image, we’re assuming the color of the ring is actually red.

The left edge of the HTC M8 prime houses two expansion slots (most likely for a SIM card and expandable storage) and the right edge sports volume controls and a power button. Along the front, you’ll find BoomSound speaker grills which match the gray color from the back of the phone and front-facing camera in the top right corner. At first-glance, the bezel along the top edge of the display appears to be abnormally large, but if you look closely, you’ll notice that the proximity and light sensor have been embedded in the glass in an effort to keep the top speaker grill as clean and symmetrical as possible. We don’t know what the top or bottom edges of the M8 Prime look like, but it’s easy to imagine the placement of the microUSB port and 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom.

Overall, we like the design of the HTC M8 Prime that’s portrayed in the 360-degree render. The phone is infused with the same design language from the company’s most recent phones, but the extra flare from the camera lens ring brings back good memories of the HTC EVO 4G LTE.

  1. ‘All comes down to the price vs One Plus One, Z2, Nexus/Silver 6 and whatever is available at the time

    1. We already know it will not be as cheap as the OnePlus, and most likely the Nexus 6.

I don’t agree it is just price when considering those three. The user experience, features and general style will be a big factor too.

  2. Looks like a similar design concept as the new Nokia 930 in terms of the material combinations and finish.

  3. This is really very nice information. Thanks for this all
