HTC M8 Ace revealed with leaked picture

It looks like we’ll soon have an addition to the HTC One family. The HTC M8 Ace code name is now in the wild, along with a picture of a red phone featuring BoomSound speakers and a blurred out screen which looks very similar to HTC Sense 6. The curves on the HTC M8 Ace evoke the design language of last year’s HTC One rather than the new One (M8), but we have no indication of to how old the image is and if it’s an accurate representation of final hardware. For now, @evleaks has not shared any additional information about the new devices, but we can make a few educated assumptions based on what HTC brought to market last year.

The HTC M8 Ace can either be the HTC One (M8) mini or the HTC One (M8) max. We’ve already posted a handful of HTC One (M8) mini rumors over the past few months and know that the device could launch as early as May and will most likely feature a quad-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with a 4.5-inch 720p display, 1GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 13 megapixel main camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, Android 4.4.2 (KitKat), Sense 6.0 and on-screen buttons.

There’s no evidence yet that HTC is actually working on a One (M8) max for 2014 so far, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. The first rumors of last year’s max showed up on May, so we still have plenty of time for things to fall into place. We’d expect the HTC One (M8) max to come with all the main specs as the One (M8) but with a larger 6-inch display and a fingerprint scanner on the back.

Based on the dimensions of the HTC M8 Ace picture, we’re pretty confident that we’re looking at the HTC One (M8) mini. Since HTC likes to keep its logo roughly the same size on all of its phones, we ca see that the HTC M8 Ace slots in perfectly between the HTC One (M8) and last year’s HTC One mini. Naturally, we’ll have to wait for more details to confirm that our findings are accurate.

  1. Hope it is all usable screen from each end of BoomSound speakers without the logo bar, 32GB internal plus Micro SD card slot, 13+MP back n 5MP front camera. But from the blurred image looks like the HTC logo is visible unless it shows on bootup on the actual usable screen.

    1. Once you get the device, believe me the last thing you’ll notice is that bezel.

      1. I did play with the phone in the store…trust me i am very conscious of bezels. When i look at how beautiful the phone is…i just imagine it a little shorter with no logo bar. I will wait for the next HTC phone that will meet my requirements.
