HTC hires former Samsung marketing executive as adviser to Chairwoman Cher Wang

So far, the consumers and the press are singing the praises of the HTC One (M8), but he company isn’t quite ready to sit back and hope sale of the phone take off. Bloomberg is reporting that HTC has hired Paul Golden (the Samsung marketing executive responsible for creating the successful marketing campaigns for the Samsung Galaxy brand) as an adviser, reporting directly to HTC Chairwoman Cher Wang.

In an interview on April 8th, Cher Wang stated “We just have to communicate well with our customers. I believe if we can communicate better, we will do better.” It’s no secret that HTC has been struggling to find the right way to promote its products to consumers. The company’s recent commercials featuring Gary Oldman have been subtle, but maybe they need something a little more engaging if they want to convey the true magnificence of the HTC One (M8).

Do you think bringing on a former Samsung marketing guru is what HTC really needs to make the HTC One (M8) the must-have Android smartphone of 2014?
