HTC M8 screenshot gives us a first-look at BlinkFeed in HTC Sense 6

The leaked HTC Sense 6 on-screen buttons we showed off a few days ago was only a small taste of what HTC has in store for us with HTC Sense 6 on the M8. Today, @evleaks shares a screenshot from HTC’s upcoming flagship Android phone. The image shows off an updated BlinkFeed home screen with on-screen buttons that are a perfect match to the ones we’ve already seen. The only main differences we have noticed on the newer version of HTC Sense is the transparent launcher tray at the bottom and the green background for the clock and weather.

Since we would like to see a much bigger change to the Sense UI with the HTC M8, we’re not quite ready to throw in the towel. We have only seen one screen of HTC Sense 6, so there’s still a chance HTC has quite a bit more in store for us. Do you think the updated BlinkFeed home screen from the HTC M8 a step in the right direction for HTC?

  1. Still thinks Hardware issues are much more important AND goes along with the Software / Apps upgrade HTC has in line. From HTC ONE X > ONE series > ONE M8 >… does made a good impact to HTC does hardware hiccups will really kill the overall impressions. Imagine having a new nice baskets of juicy sweet looking strawberries but 1 bite it’s awfully sour ! Sour > That’s the hardware! It need not be fancy however must keep the good impression momentum. Software / Apps can be upgraded anytime but Not Hardware.

Certainly the direction should be fine however the gadgets must follow with the flow of directions too… HTC – Here To Change!

  2. The biggest dissapointment for me in all my HTC were the battery. I hope this time they work miracles because the battery life just sux in HTC devices.

    1. Not all devices. Have an actual prob with my HTC One and gave it to the repair center. meanwhile I use my old Nexus One. Haven’t charged it for 3 days now and it is still running (23% battery left). Just to remenber. It is the first Nexus device and was produced by HTC…

  3. Nexus One had 1400 mAh battery to a single-core processor and 3,7 inch screen. When I got my first htc, the sensation it had the same battery to a dual-core processor and 4,3 inch screen. My One X+ has quad-core and 4,7 inch screen and 2150 NAh battery. It’s just not enough. The one has a bit stronger battery but the processor is stronger too. Sony’s Xperia Z1 compact rolling with 2400mAh battery to a 4,3 inch screen and quad-core ofc. I just want a HTC devices which allows me to listen to Spotify/TuneIn without loosing 20% per hour. And I’m not even talking about browsing the net with active screen…

  4. We’ve had 2 HTC phones so far, both flawless hardware. a One-S, and a One. My buddy has a Samsung GS4, and it had an amazing contacts white-screen hang flaw. The only thing I could think of is she uses a big case and it’s overheating. Basically a hung phone requiring factory restart. Coincidence? P.S. the One has good battery life.

  5. I’m interested in new HTC Sense, looks good, changing the background color in the new BlinkFeed (I hope there are more than just one colour). I’m wondering when One will get Sense 6 upgrade. June/july, earlier perhaps?
